Objectives:

  • Yeast nitrogen metabolism (Production processes, winemaking management)

Tasks :

  • To learn the CRISPR-Cas9 genetic modification technique
  • To use this technique to modify laboratory and wine yeasts to produce different interest compounds and study protein interactions

Deliverables (expected): 

  • Knowledge of the CRISPR-Cas9 technique for its development and implementation in our Wine Biotechnology research group at the Rovira i Virgily University.
  • New scientific contacts to develop new projects and collaborations
  • Seminars given in both institutions
